Is it possible for you to give her a trim? Honestly that’s what I did with my twins because there is no way they would let that happen lol. I just watched a few YouTube videos and I got a razor for cutting hair which you can find on amazon! Definitely an option and cheaper for sure. In our area a kids haircut is just too much money for a child who does not care at all about what it looks like lol
My daughter just had her first haircut on Wednesday, she actually did really well. The stylist had her sit on my lap facing me so he could do her hair, she was obsessed with looking at him in the mirror. My daughter throws a fit every time I put her hair up (she’d rather not sit still), so now that I don’t have to it seems better for her.
My son did ok the first time, I think he was so nervous thst he just kinda froze there. But the second time he knew what was coming and freaked out. Even sitting on my lap, with my phone for distraction, he wouldn't even let them comb his hair. So now I just cut it at home. It's not perfect but kids don't care what their hair looks like, and as long as it looks neat and out of his eyes, I think it looks fine too. I just sit him on a stool with a booster seat and turn on a cartoon. (He never gets screen time usually so it's a great distraction) I've done it twice at home now and he's done great.
Mine has been going to the same salon for a year. He’s been always good and lets you do anything to the point that he’ll yawn while using the buzzers lol You can show her videos and see how she reacts
I think it helped when I took my kids that we discussed what they wanted their hair to look like beforehand. I showed my son videos of kids getting haircuts and asked him to point to one he liked, and he really enjoyed the process. Careful going to a kid’s specific haircut place, as the other kids anxiety could ramp up your kid if they have kids who actively don’t want haircuts there!
I have a boy so we’ve been doing it for awhile. He’s okay with it. I was shocked at the price the first time as it was the same as an adult but we found a place that does $10 haircuts. First time he hated it and needed a phone to calm him down but he’s mostly okay now.
