Head down or back to back???

How do I know if my baby is head down if I have no more scans? Also how would I know if they’re back to back etc?? I’m so confused as this is my 1st baby

They should have a feel in your midwife appointment and tell you x

So the best thing my midwife told me, is if you can feel something smooth along your tummy, your baby's back is against your tummy * even with an anterior placenta i can tell my babies back is by my tummy * If you go on your badger notes / pregnancy notes online it'll say your babies position after each appointment. My baby has been head down for the majority of my pregnancy, most 1st time pregnancies will have a head down baby

Midwife will check for you at your appointments! I agree with @Kimberley - I have an anterior placenta and higher bmi and even for me, baby’s position is very obvious, so they’ll very likely be able to tell you exactly how baby is positioned ❤️

@Kimberley thank you! I will check with my midwife and ask her what I need to feel for as I still feel baby’s hands/feet on my belly moving sometimes! Not really sure what I am feeling for haha xx

When my little miss was breech the kicks were very low down near near enough near my bits , now she has turned and head down her kicks are inline with the top of my belly button I'm 34 weeks

With my first he never fully turned so he was like half back to back, I never really understood until I’ve had a second pregnancy and my stomach shape is completely different. With my first my belly button never ever stuck out and I could always see kicks around the top of my bump/under my ribs. With this one my bump very much sticks out around my belly button which has pushed my belly button out and can feel her back/bum. I can feel her kicks more internally. I know it can vary person to person but I can tell a difference x
