Yolk sac in gestational sack and measuring correctly but no embryo seen yet?

Try not to worry!! At 5w 4d only pregnancy sack and yolk was visible for me. Then I went back at 7w 2d and I seen fetal pole and heartbeat x

It’s risky having a scan that early as it can create more anxiety. Baby’s most likely absolutely fine it’s just too early. Maybe try again in a couple of weeks x

They have told me to go back in two weeks, just such a long wait! I was planning on telling immediate family today now I have to anxiously wait another two weeks 😭 it’s hard as well when you see other girls on here saying they went for a scan at six weeks and see heart beat. Hopefully all is good. He said everything in the right place and on my report it says “pregnancy seen” maybe it’s just really small still, I have only just turned six weeks today x

It’s risky as there’s a chance you’re off with your dates by a day or two so you could be earlier than you think. That’s why you might not have seen much yet. I waited until 8 weeks even though it felt like forever as you see so much more. Try to distract yourself in the meantime. It’ll be lovely to see your little baby in a fortnight and feel relief.

I no six weeks is still super early and they did send me an email before hand asking if I wanted to re-schedule as in most cases they don’t see much this early on, so it’s my own fault x

I didn’t have a heartbeat on my scan and I was about 6w4d but thought I could have been 7+ weeks. Very anxious two weeks but weirdly after the scan I had two weeks of nausea and that was reassuring that things were progressing well. Had a follow up scan on Sunday and saw the heartbeat. Hope all is ok for you, I know how tough the two week wait is x

@Ashley well someone could have been off with their dates and thought they were 8 weeks when in fact they were earlier.

@Nicole course they can but more chance of seeing something then unless you’re out by weeks

Don’t blame yourself it’s an exciting time! At least you know everything looks good for now and you’ll be so happy to see the growth for next time

Just remember at this stage there is a huge difference between just 6 weeks and 6w4d. So some people will have gone for scans at 6 weeks plus days and seen a heartbeat. You may have seen something had you gone jn another 2 days. So much happens each day with development. You are only just 6 weeks, so it’s really normal to not have seen much!
