Depending on the time of the flight you can check your luggage in the night before so it's not a faf early in the morning. We've always took a bag of snacks for the flight and we use a dummy or a drink of water to help her equalise her ears on landing. This time we've also borrowed a pushchair that folds small enough to be hand luggage, waiting for the pushchair at the other end can take ages, especially with a sleepy toddler. Tablet is also a good idea as well if you've got one
@Jennifer which pushchair have you ordered?
@Erin I've borrowed one off a friend. I think she said it was the Cybex Libelle
Lots and lots of snacks/food. Agree with some new bits to get out - books/colouring books - tablet helped us a lot for the flight. Xx
Car seat - or book a private transfer to the hotel
Thanks everyone. I thought of most of these things so glad to know that everyone has the same ideas. I will defo get some new bits and keep them until the plane! Private transfer is just out of our budget unfortunately as it was around £450. Already spent £2k on the holiday. I’m sure she will be fine, we will just have to deal with it!
Always book a hotel with a private transfer so they can be in a car seat. I wouldn’t feel comfortable with my 2 year old on a coach for an hour not in a seat.
@Francesca each to their own
If you do need to go on a coach you can always see if the company provide a car seat. We're going to Iceland in a couple of weeks and have booked a coach transfer from the airport, Iceland's car seat laws are stricter than ours and the company are providing us with a rear facing seat for the transfer
Totally each to their own! Some put safety above money, it’s personal choice and weighing up the risk
Loads of snacks and a few secrets treats to whip out when you need to bargain with them lol tablet with all There fave shows downloaded, some colouring, story books activities you can do in the chair and in the room. I personally would try and get a private transfer if it’s a option, just reduce your travel a little and won’t be loads of you checking in at the same time x
