Can scan be wrong???

The same thing happened to me last year and unfortunately it was a miscarriage. If you know your dates exactly then unfortunately it's measuring smaller because it has passed, really sorry

Same thing happened to me. I didn’t have spotting however I thought I was 6 weeks but they couldn’t find a heartbeat. I had to come back and get rescanned. All went well though as my baby is now a 4 month old ❤️ Hope all goes well for you xx

They can pick up the babies heartbeat from 5 weeks pregnant so they definitely need to check again

same happened to us. hcg 65,00 at 6weeks then went back at 8 weeks it was the same.. then spotted for a while very little then miscarried at 12weeks. had to go to ER. then it didnt finish and had to have it surgically removed the day before my bday. If this is happening to you, sorry! Pray and dont worry you will get your rainbow baby! Our girl is 1 6yr okd now!

@Mrs. M sorry for your loss x I do have a beautiful heathy 2 year old girl :) but we wanted a sibling for her. If it won't go well it will be my second miscarriage and I can't do this again.. :(

Sorry youre going through this...its so hard. I had a silent miscarriage, no spotting...continued to have pregnancy symptoms. Went in for the 12 week scan and baby measured 9 weeks and no heartbeat and i had to have a d&c. I know from my 2nd pregnancy (successful 4 month old baby girl) that by 6 weeks they can identify a heartbeat..5 weeks is too small. Hopefully the scans were just off and you'll get some good news next week!

If you’re supposed to be 9weeks but baby is measuring 5weeks I would say that baby hasn’t made it, I’m so sorry mama. Best of luck to you going forward ❤️

Hi ultrasound tech here! Sorry to hear you are going through this. There’s really two scenarios that could be happening here: 1: you could be very early @5 weeks, babies heart starts beating @ 5.5wks but we aren’t always able to pick it up that early. Sometimes our cycles are a little funky and the dates the app says we ovulated isn’t when we actually ovulated. 2: if you actually are 9 weeks, but are measuring 5 weeks that means you would have miscarried @ 5 weeks but your body hasn’t realized yet. Only way to be sure which scenario it is to get rescanned and also to check your B-HCG levels. Here in the US our radiologists usually suggest getting rescanned in 2 weeks & your GYN can check your hcg levels to see if they are increasing or decreasing. Increasing is good, decreasing is bad. I know it’s easier said than done but try not to stress yourself too much there’s still a chance everything could be alright! Hope this helps❤️

I should have been 7 weeks at my first scan but was only 5 weeks because I had ovulated late. They didn’t think the pregnancy was viable but told me to go back for a scan 2 weeks later and they found the heartbeat and I was measuring at 7 weeks.
