My oldest 1.. she was very independent and enjoyed watching tv herself! My youngest is 1 and she has used her sisters but doesn’t have her own and will not for a while at least she cannot understand things - she is prem xx
My oldest has toy like ones and for his third birthday he got a laptop looking toy with loads of educational programs. But he's not had it for a while to use that for other reasons not that he doesn't understand how to use it more just because he hasn't asked for it. He's rather play with his baby brother and colour and do puzzles than sit with it. We plan of getting him a tablet with amazon kids for his 4th birthday.
My daughter got a yoto at 18months. We have a shared family tablet that my daughter (24months) can watch when we are on long plane or car rides (3hours+)
I wouldn't have thought I'd get one for my little one until he's secondary school age. But we'll wait and see! He's 21 months at the moment and hasn't used one yet. When he does, I think I'll just let him use mine every now and then.
My oldest got one at 2 to give something to do while we were at my prenatal appointments but he hasn't used it that much since we got out of the newborn period with his little brother. His is a regular samsung tablet that I put into kids mode and it only has the camera/photo editing app, pba kids, and khan academy kids on it. He uses his yoto box way more
I got my kid an iPad for his 4th birthday. We play educational games, watch educational videos, take pictures and FaceTime family members on it only. He has a screen time allotment of 20-30 minutes at a time & uses it about 3-4 times a month. I think technology is going to be with them their whole lives and it’s our job to teach them how to use them responsibly.
we have tablet since age of 1.5 or so only for emergencies (hospital) and airplane travel (so we are not thrown out 😉) he is not allowed it otherwise because he just goes INSANE when i try to take it back and I simply refuse to give it to him after that kind of reaction. it obviously gets very addictive very fast for him
My oldest is almost 5 and there's no tablet on the horizon for us. I've personally never had one and don't see the need...
3 but we hardly use it. More of an occasional reward that we’re starting to use more at 5
My daughter won’t ever have one till she’s a teen
3ish 4 when he was in speech therapy, there were some apps that helped him before then he didn't understand them and just pushed it away.
Tablet as in electronic device 2 yrs but she doesn’t really use it nd she’s not allowed it whilst eating and only 2 hours max a week… she’s not bothered about it xx
