Is it ok to give a gift to your babys doctor?

Hi moms! Just a random question. So we are travelling with our little one for the first time and will be out of the country and i just had a thought that i want to bring something back (like a souvenir or a small gift) for my babys GP. She has been amazing and really helpful and i just want to give back and make her feel appreciated. Is that ok? Do people gift stuff to their baby's doctor? I read somewhere that doctors generally dont accept gifts as they consider it unethical sometimes and i just want to make sure its ok to gift them something. Lmk if anyone els has done this

Sounds like something I would do. Can call and ask the receptionist at the office if they accept gifts to be sure

Some will others won't but do call the office and see if they will accept a gift of an item/sealed food (must be store bought food item or it goes in the trash due to they don't know what's been added in to it )

I gave our dr cookies from the baby shower (f1 t-shirt with our son's name), and favours from the baptism and his first birthday.

If it’s something small as you say then I think that’s fine, a lovely gesture. If it’s something expensive they need to declare it.
