I never used a paper towel. Wasn’t told to. I always used a clean bath towel and patted dry they used a hair dryer or blow heater for a few mins to make sure it was dry (obviously not doing it to close)

I just pat dry with my normal bath towel. I was never told to use a paper towel etc

I had a C-section, but I'm new to this. Was told nothing. It's the perfect cut without infection afterwards and I bath normally but I usually change my towels every 3 days

I was told do not use paper towel or tissue of any sorts. When wet it sticks and that’s obviously not good. Just use a clean towel that you specifically only use on your csection area.

I always used a towel from the hospital.

Funny how the advice differs so much in the same country. Probably even differs in the same hospital depending who you speak to! Given what everyone’s said I’ll stop with the paper towels now as I am over 7 weeks since section. I might use a flannel for a while, changing it every few days. Still the question remains; when can you stop treating the area any differently to the rest of your body?

I am 15 weeks pp and still treating it the way I did when I had the section. Lol I see people on here getting infections at 3 months.

I never truely treated it different. The only difference was I didn’t soap the incision area and patted dry with my towel rather than rub dry. Once the outside was healed around 4-5 weeks I slowly started doing it all normal again

I’ve never used a paper towel or air dried from day one x
