Wwyd?
So my little man has been at nursery for 4 weeks, there has been some failings on behalf of the nursery e.g. poor nappy changes, missing nappies/wipes and the biggest being being he had a orange pip in his mouth that I found when I picked him - I called them out and they apologised and said it won’t happen again n the older kids who eat solid fruits may have dropped it and as my little man’s a crawler he found it and put it in his mouth - like any other baby exploring his surrounding - my biggest issue is they didn’t recognise and react and he came home with it. Over the last week there’s been issues with his naps and he is going 7-8 hrs without a nap as his nursery nap timing isn’t working and rather than discuss and understand I was called into the office to a meeting with I kid you not - a list of concerns they had - 1 being I asked for an update HAHA and a kid falling over is more important than sending pictures (he had his 12 months jabs last week so I wanted to see how he was) anyways - I’ve told them I’m pulling him out this week he can say his byes and that’s the end of this. They apologised said they will try to work with me as his parents etc etc but i feel like a lot has happened in the last 4 weeks that I’ve had enough and I don’t think I’m being unreasonable - the contract has clauses about not refunding money etc but where do I stand with this - should I involve ofsted- help.
To add he’s a very adaptable friendly loving boy and gets on with anyone, doesn’t cry with change - so taking him out of this nursery isn’t going to be too much of a big deal for him - he’s around a lot of people regularly and he’s really good socialising - e.g we had our 12 month check with the HV and he climbing all over her playing with her and it’s the first time he’s met her.
