@Abbie i called several times to check and they didn’t give me any alternatives. The GP didn’t help me either. Next Monday i have my first scan which i am hoping they will arrange one - if not i will try pester them and my gp cause it’s getting too late for tests etc isn’t it … I live in Hemel and didn’t get anything still. Very strange.
oh that’s really strange, i got a phone call arranging first appointment a few days after i registered my pregnancy which was about mid march last year. maybe speak to reception at your scan see if they can book in your 20 week one. what gp are you with? i was with parkwood surgery at the time so i was able to register online through their website with the hertfordshire teaching hospitals (hemel watford and st albans) and they just basically did it all for me. there’s an app they get you to download called badger notes, it has all the phone numbers you need on it. maybe try one of the phone number on there they might be able to help. i can’t remember the numbers there was so many from the three hospitals midwives etc. i hope you get it sorted out soon lovely xx
@Abbie thanks a lot. I will follow up and see what’s happening at the Scan appointment and if still they’re dismissive then i will change it and register to another hospital. Am i also able to register to midwife at hemel/st albans? Cause GP only gave me lists of hospitals ie luton, Watfords and another a littler further away. Thanks for your help. Xx
i registered my pregnancy with my GP who then called me up to book my first midwife appointment at hemel hospital. have you tried calling the antenatal clinic at your hospital? i’m pretty sure you should be given a community midwife as they will be who you will see throughout your pregnancy. i hope it get sorted out for you x
