High Risk OB/MFM

Anyone else see a MFM? Just wondering if anyone knows if there will be an increase in visits by both my OB and MFM towards the end of pregnancy

🙋🏽‍♀️ me! I see one bc of my gestational diabetes. I’m on insulin and considered high risk :/ and yes there will be an increased amount of visits/ ultrasounds

Yes I see a MFM. They do the 12 week scan, 20 week scan and growth scans. Since I have high amniotic fluid I am going more often.

I do! Been seeing her since 17weeks (I’m 33 now) at first our visits were once every 4 weeks just monitoring but now baby has fallen below percentile (what we were watching for) so I see her twice a week until my early induction. It wasn’t the “end of pregnancy” that increased the visits, but instead the need to monitor baby closer!

I did because of my first pregnancy but they basically half way discharged me since this one’s good but with my first it was basically I’d see mfm and regular OB every month till I got really bad then they had me got once a week to each but I only made it to mfm before delivering but it was supposed to be every two weeks like with the OB then weekly like the OB towards the end

I did through my pregnancy, it was due to in the 20 week ultrasound it appearing to show that my cord was not inserted into the middle of the placenta rather on the side. It ended up not being marginal cord insertion but they had us keep going to monitor growth for our baby. Was happy we had more ultrasounds though helped me mentally prepare for the likelihood of a C-Section because she was Frank Breech at 20 Weeks and we could monitor that.
