Free nhs dental care ?

What type of dental care do we acrually get for free. Just check ups or treatment too? And do yoy just show your matb1 ?

It should be anything. I had a filling done while I was pregnant last pregnancy. Had a few abscesses so got antibiotics. I had my usual checkups and hygienist too. Yes they just need to copy your matb1 but if you’re currently private you may need to wait till the next tax year (April) until they have an nhs slot come available. X

I've been unable to get registered with a dentist since moving, been 4 years now it's ridiculous

Ask your midwife for a maternity exception certificate, it’s what I had to show the dentist receptionist. I only had a check up so not sure what treatments are covered. I don’t think the hygienist is covered from memory.

Any treatment that needs doing, so fillings etc not cosmetic 🙂 good luck finding an nhs dentist though been trying for years round our area there’s nothing 🫠

I had a dentist check up with a hygienist appointment the other day and it was covered. They didn’t ask me for a matb1 form but maybe it depends what dentist x
