Tbh finding a therapist I could trust has been the biggest game changer. I think my anger came from my needs being unmet. Other stuff that helps me: nature, walking, journaling and being creative. It’ll be different for everyone, but try and figure out the root cause of your emotions and triggers and maybe go from there?
Cooking something out of your comfort zone and making it taste the way a grandma would make it for her favorite grandkid then sitting down and surprising yourself. Even if it’s stock find the best of the best ingredients you can and make something simple but nourishing. It changes my mood every time.
Write out your feelings in a private journal or digital space
@Cece yess figuring out the root cause of my emotions was definitely a game changer! I’m now able to control my emotions and fulfill my own needs and feel great about it
Therapy, shopping online (but not always buying lol), leaving the room, reading, playing solitaire and sudoku, and surprisingly making a Pinterest account helped because it quells my OCD as well
Working out helps physically and mentally 🥰
I blast music up, or I go dancing. Salsa and bachata dancing. Dancing helps me zone out not think about anything but the music. For home- I cook, garden, do my nails. I’ll go get monthly massages which relieves physical tension. Buying a new dress or heels or anything for me is nice, my new glasses came in today it’s something I needed but it felt good to receive it regardless. Facials, a face mask, dyeing my hair. But above all, it’s music and dance that I truly look forward to.
Calling a friend, crying letting it all out ! 5k jog cooking xxx
Meditation, yoga and walks have helped me massively
I like to listen to music and clean lol or I like going shopping even if I’m not going to buy anything
