Leash kid

My son is and runner and as a single mom it's hard to go anywhere with just the 2 of us so he has a leash backpack or the one that goes in our wrist i feel like 1 it's safer and 2 he's alongside me not running off with me chasing him. I get weird looks and my parents and some friends say it's bad and he shouldn't need ur am I wrong for using them? They have me second-guessing myself.

Nope, you do whatever you’re comfortable with. As long as your child is safe and happy! Ask the judgemental people; “would you rather him run off, I don’t get to him in time, and he’s hit by a car?” We can teach safety all we like, but sometimes they just don’t understand (depending on their age and abilities). My Dad actually suggested I get one for my son! I already had one but it was just too big for him 😅 he’s only 16 months but just loves to run.

Absolutely nothing wrong with it, you do you and keep your son safe xx

I use to have one for my oldest daughter when she was 1 year old so i got my niece one cause she the same way people actually compliments and smile on it when we go to the store said that a good thing so they can't run off anywhere

Nope I had one and sone people would say oh I need one of them for my child where did I buy. My child has now learnt and holds hands no more running randomly . It helps them understand boundaries and danger. Just wait 3 months you will see difference. Why would you second guess to risk your child be in danger
