@Jaelyn ok 😂
Are you able to drive? If so, see what your local library has to offer. Often time many of them have story time or some kind of play time. I would see if you have a rec center in your community too. They might have classes (it’s often a small fee) for your child’s age range. If you have a backyard or close to some kind of public trail—go enjoy that. If your child is walking I would let them explore. Play in the dirt. There’s lots to do even with sunshine I know the winter blues hit everyone but with a bit of googling you might fun lots of fun indoor/ outdoor activities at a low rate or free. It’s all about knowing your city/ community. If you’re in Atlanta let me know! I will give you a long list of fun activities for your child’s age range.
Don’t worry I feel the same way but also I am pregnant again with baby 2, so it would be hard to do anything with her at this point. But yeah as above said. 🙂
@S. annalese way better said than me and will hopefully taken better. It's all about looking for a solution to the problem, we are in control of our lives and if something we can change makes us unhappy, we should do what we can to change it and be happier, especially when it involves our children
@Jaelyn this is true lol I take my daughter to indoor playgrounds/ activity centers when I feel like we need to get out of the house.
I don’t find it boring but I do think it’s more effort and more expensive in the winter! I find the summer much more easy breezy, grab a picnic and you can just be out for the day 🙌🏽
@Sorrel yes definitely! I do try and do soft play and indoor days out, but they’ve gotten so expensive. My local soft play is now £15 🤷🏽♀️ can’t be doing that all the time! Also wanted to get her into tumble tots, but that’s expensive too
@S. annalese hi thanks for the ideas! I live in the Uk and it’s just been cold and rainy for weeks (0-4 degrees where I live) x
Yeah a lot of them have really jumped in price 😬 and that’s only a couple of hours. Or we do still go out wrapped up but it still gets freezing or rains. Was out for a muddy walk the other day and it was all fun and games till my daughter’s hands got too cold then she just cried all the way home 🙃 Roll on summer! 🙌🏽
@Sorrel yes. My daughter flat out refuses a hat and gloves, then cries because she’s cold, so staying out long is a no no 😂
It definitely is more expensive going to these soft plays and whatnot. Everything is costing tbh. But yet, we don’t have long till summer comes, by the time it’s may, the weather will get better. It will definitely get quick. 🙂
Check out the children's centres around your area, the usually have stay and plays and activities almost every day that you can take your kid. They are free. That's what I do with my baby almost everyday cause there's no way we're staying home all day locked in😂 What area are you from ?
@Sophie I live in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Not sure if I’m googling the wrong thing, but all I keep finding is paid toddler groups, most of them requiring block bookings or payment in advance. Not really what I was looking for 😬
Lol even the malls have free play areas that you can go to

As Sophie mentioned, your local children’s centres should have some free activities. The libraries often do as well. I used to have weekly indoor picnics with my son. We would just put a blanket on the floor and eat our packed lunches. It sounds weird but it was fun. Made the day different.
https://gloslibraries.uk/events Have a look at this! There are some events focused on babies/toddlers.
Don't take it the wrong way, but you are the one who chooses what your day includes and if you're bored or not. You can find activities to do indoors that are fun and engaging that don't involve being outside if you put in the effort to
