Scans - why am I not having any?

You are correct, you won’t have any additional scans unless there is some sort of medical reasoning for them. The people commenting their babies weights and scans etc, will have one or more of those reasonings, which is why they are having other scans ❤️

I have growth scans because I’m high risk (autoimmune disease) I’m assuming my post was one of the ones you saw

I have extra scans because - they can't measure bump accurately due to my BMI so I'm consultant lead, I have a 2 vessel umbilical cord, GD, Low PAPP-A of 0.27MoM and I had increased fluid on a scan. Trust me, if it meant a smooth pregnancy I'd be happier with less scans, especially as this is my second. X

We are under Southend hospital and the 36 week scan is standard after the 20 week scan, regardless of low/high risk. That being said I believe they are stopping the 36 week scan as standard from something they said at an antenatal class

I had a growth scan as I had reduced movement and they booked me in for a scan the next day ❤️ everything was fine though they checked blood flow from the placenta and also the fluid around the baby xx

I had a 36 week scan yesterday as standard, it was booked in after my 20 week scan and midwife appointment. I’m not high risk or anything. Might be worth asking your midwife. I know things can sometimes differ in different areas of the country xx

@Laura ah a 36 one would be reassuring! I think they used to have a 37 week one here but they stopped, seems odd as surely it would give confirmation of baby’s position, fluid etc!

I've had 2 growth scans... Both times where the midwife referred me because my bump wasn't growing as fast as expected (baby growing fine on both scans so guess I'm just carrying very neatly)
