Annoyed on valentines.

So I woke up today in a great mood with the kids, my partner got in late last night so he was sleeping till 12. I was gonna do him breakfast in bed but he told me he wasn't gonna have time as he has to go to work. I set out his present and his cards on the table so when he wakes up he can see them. He woke up at 12 and stayed in bed for half an hour he didn't even come in to say happy valentines or just to spend some time with us as he's gonna be working all day/night. Anyways he came in the living room gave me a kiss and opened his presents and card from me and the kids, it's his first Valentine's Day as a dad so I got him a card from our daughter & my son. Anyways come to find out he didn't get me anything, no flowers, card or even a balloon lol. I don't give to receive because I love buying gifts for people but as my partner why did he not even make an effort to get me a card? He knows I love special occasions. The fact he's gonna be at work all day as well he didn't even think about how I was gonna feel. Just feel a bit sad am I over reacting?

Your feelings are valid, but some men don't care for holidays as we do my guy doesn't either I also didn't get anything but I'm use to it because he doesn't celebrate it but the thought that they know how we feel about it and still don't do is crazy to me idk men are weird

@Dionne we talk about his work all the time and ge hasn't really mentioned anything to me that might suggest he's having a hard time. But he does celebrate it, this is our fourth valentine's we've been together so I know it's not that. But thank you for your reply I think I am gonna let him know how I feel x

@Bunny that's the thing tho he literally does celebrate it we celebrated it last year & I know he ain't forgotten about it because he works at a restaurant so he's had to do a valentines menue😂I just dunno maybe he hates me lol

Erm, update. He didn't even come back home last night, he said he went out after work and stayed at a friends house as he was too drunk to come home. Now im starting to feel like there's someone else
