@Valerie we already have and it hasn't helped yet sadly. We need to get him into speech but everywhere has waitlists. I think it's his tongue tie and lip tie though, we took him to speech therapy at 9 months old to see if they thought the tongue tie was bad enough to need to be fixed (his pediatrician didn't catch it until we asked at 4 months old because he started making noises breastfeeding) and they said they didn't think it would affect him so they didn't recommend getting it fixed. Now he's trying to talk, but he can't get anything out right but mama
I was in the same exact position, he noticed there was a changed and didn’t know how to go about it but once I starting giving him more affection and 1v1 time he started doing better. The tickle monster changed our life😂
My oldest is 3 now and youngest is 6m, we were able to stop the tantrums! He now tells us no/yes in his own way but with ALOT of work
Get the tongue tie revised He must be so frustrated with being unable to communicate, the poor mite.
@Ella everyone we have talked to about it before has said they didn't see a need to revise it. We are trying to get him in to a different speech therapist so they can hopefully send a referral to someone who can fix it. We have been trying but when we mentioned it to his Doctor, he just referred us to an early interventionist, who now has to refer us to speech, instead of him just making a referral to an oral surgeon to get it fixed.
Start early intervention!
