Either that or get a part time remote job that isn’t so tedious
I applied over 50 jobs and I got rejected 🙃 but I’ll keep trying and hope for the best
Yeah, I tried the typical job route but 1) I have 4 kids 6 and under and most want quiet, so I’d still have to have someone to watch them and 2) they don’t like kids in the background and are like impossible to get! The best luck I’ve had with actually bringing in an income is network marketing and affiliate marketing. I also did some virtual assistant work for a little while too off and on. My biggest advice is to do something you love, when you love it it doesn’t feel so sucky and like you’re doing something with a purpose❤️
Thank you
I’ve been struggling with this as well. I got some perspective to consider so I’ll share. 1. Being a SAHM is hard for many reasons, but you are doing a job. The most important thing for your kid(s) development. And that’s a huge contribution to your family. 2. Not paying for childcare is a financial contribution to your family. 3. Idk how old your kid(s) are, but eventually they won’t need you as much anymore and you’ll miss it. So savor every moment. Society has hardwired most of us into the mindset that only paid labor makes us productive. But being a SAHM is a huge responsibility and a huge contribution.
Find joy in your now, not what you have done or could be doing. Enjoy being home, even if it’s hard.
My kids are toddlers, but I appreciate being a sahm, not putting them to childcare and being with them 24/7, but it also takes a toll on your mental health, especially when you have no help but I also want them to have a nice home and we can travel without worrying about finances
@Katelyn can you tell more about network marketing & affiliate marketing? I’ve tried it but gave up I wasn’t seeing any success
@sue thank you sue!! I’ll work on this! ☺️
Feel free to message me if you’d like to toss off some ideas or maybe need help finding something you’re interested in. It’s hard to be like yeah I’m passionate about that after being lost in motherhood. But there are tonssss of ways to monetize things from home and I’d love to help you find that thing!
You'll get there. Keep applying! Make sure to include cover letters when appropriate. If your current resume/ cover letter isn't working, do a rewrite. You don't have to get every job. It only takes one. 😉
Send me your resume I can help you optimize it for specific positions
I started doing that to mine as well and so far I didn’t a reject letter but letter of further consideration because of the resume
@Diamond I messaged you ☺️

I started working part time evenings. My husband gets home around 330-4p and I go to work. I am a bit tired in the morning but it has helped my mental health so much. And my husband gets to be with the kids a bit more and take them out. I'm a stickler for strict bedtimes and he's more forgiving. So the babies go and do all sorts of stuff and get into bed a bit later but hey they've been sleeping in later now too🩵
If you’re in the UK I’m a stay at home mum but also run a children’s bookshop, it allows me to make money but stay with my toddler at home :) if you want some info I can help you x
