@Ellie I know the hospital didn’t say to me either! I’ve messaged a midwife hopefully they’ll get back to me soon 😂
I didn’t have a section but did tear and have stitches so I assume it’s similar? I was told I could have a bath but couldn’t use any products at all so essentially just sit in the clean water to avoid infection. You’d then need to shower as well afterwards to be able to use any shampoo, soap, body wash etc

I was told at my pre op today that u can have a bath soon as u go home as I would have a waterproof dressing on. But I don't know if all hospitals in all areas do this the same. Hope that helps. Best bet to ask your midwife/consultant

I've had a c section and I was told 6 weeks for a bath because the wound needs to heal. Can't wait for a bath 🛁
With my first I was told 6 weeks but I had one around 2 weeks. No products in the bath and wasn’t in it for very long so was totally fine! If you have any openings in your wound or infections etc then I would wait until everything is cleared up x

Omg I’m desperate for one, love baths but heard submerging the wound in water can increase infection risk. The hospital didn’t say! Xx
