Most used toys here, aside from books are his hammer bench with little pegs, a ball drop tower, Melissa and Doug doorbell house, and a wooden London bus with little peg people.
My son is obsessed with this tower where he puts a ball in the top and it goes down a spiral to the bottom like a slide kinda thing, you can get them cheap and they're great for hand eye coordination! Also this £7 toy from ASDA where you push the top and the inside spins around, he's mesmerized by it

My baby is obsessed with books now (having them read to her). She also has a wooden baby piano and a toy that she hammers balls through and they land on a xylophone. She loves the xylophone and the hammer 🤣 Another thing is an activity cube!
