@Chloe did you boi online or phone in the morning? i tried to book online but there isn’t the option too so i feel like i might have to call at 8 to try and get an appointment x
Yeah I had to ring for an appointment, for same day appointments I have to ring at 8 but for contraception it’s with a nurse so you can ring any time and they’ll book you in for a few days later when the nurse is free xx
@Chloe thank you so much, i’ve actually been stressing about calling as i didnt want to call at 8 and take up time that could be used for someone that’s ill x
I got offered it at our 6 week check up! ☺️
You usually get offered it/ discuss it at your 6 week check up at the GP, if you want to start it sooner:.. just book an appointment x
When I went in for my 2 week checkup with my OB I brought up birth control, since I was breastfeeding he put me on a progesterone only birth control pill so it wouldn’t mess up my supply. After a few months I called and ended up discussing the Mirena IUD because I was just always so busy I would miss doses so I ended up getting the IUD and I absolutely love it. It didn’t hurt at all going in nor did i even feel it (they say after a baby that’s how most women react since you’re more relaxed down there) I got it in October and I haven’t had a period since it cut that off but I feel great. Sometimes I still get cramps like I’m on my period but no blood, it’s also good for 8 years. Also I did get on birth control at 2 weeks pp but I didn’t start having sex again until 10weeks pp I just started it early so I could make sure it would be good in my system by then
I booked an appointment at gp, my girl is 4 weeks old and I had the appointment on Friday and was given prescription straight away for the pill and got it that day x
