Hey Grace, I second Kai about earlyOns - especially bc there are locations open on Saturday. After daycare is hard bc I’m sure it’s a long day for both of you. There’s a soccer program called Little kickers that is all over the city, also swimming lessons, and music classes (songs with Nash, rainbow songs etc). Hope you find something! It’s super hard to make friends as an adult/new mom. It’s intimidating but I found I just had to really put myself out there and ask people for numbers etc and also not take it personal bc people are busy/nap schedules etc but you’ll meet people who you can coordinate with 😊
Thanks Ladies
Libraries are great for introverted folks like us. There are usually play spaces for the little ones to interact while you hang back.
@Grace for some reason I can now see you’re in Etobicoke. I don’t live there but my family does and I’ve taken my daughter to a bunch of the LAMP early ons they have a bunch of them and the staff is super nice! I really enjoyed the second street earlyon! Super nice space and everyone was really friendly. There’s a smaller one I think called “family site” Was really easy to talk to people there too
Also if you are looking for swimming, I take mine swimming through Water Babies. He loves it.
Go to your local community centre and ask for a Fun Guide. It has all the city run programs. Look at your local library for baby/toddler groups.
Look for play groups!!! And if you know anyone with kids try to meet at playgroups. Playgrounds are good too when it’s warmer outside
These are such great options to explore, thank you all so much!
Look into EarlyON centres. Also hi 👋 I'm in Scarborough. My son is 7 months.
