kid freaks out

does anyone elses kid freak out when water touches their face? like im talking about a water droplet could run down their cheek and they would freak out? Baths are so hard because when I go to rinse out her hair it either takes very long because i have to use a washcloth or i have to say f it and dump water on her head and then have a wet screaming baby jump into my arms to try and get out of the tub... is there anything i can do to help this because its ridiculous

My 4 year old was like that 🙃 he still freaks out but he just begs to have his eyes wiped. For a while the whole teaching him to tilt his head back worked, but he just hated the water so much he freaks out too much and won’t just put his head back 😑 I just fight thru it tbh

Although maybe like a visor? I do also wonder if it’s a sensory processing thing.

@Anna it could be a sensory thing, ive tricked her into tilting her head back but as soon as i pour the water she immediately flips her head back down and water gets all over her face 🤦🏽‍♀️i could try a crown, cant hurt

My son use to be like that until I just had to start exposing him often to water on his face. I wash his hair in the sink so water drops backwards and I didn’t realize it was an issue until I put him in swim at 2 years old. After a couple of dramatic moments he’s good 😅. There are visors but they aren’t completely drip proof and so they are still nervous.

My son does the same 😂 I don’t think there’s a full proof fix unfortunately
