@Tiffany she does do tummy time whether that’s on me or on the bed etc… but haven’t used the play mat yet so didn’t know if it’s a necessary and wether it’s good for there learning to see different things in the air etc… x

My LG wasn’t a cuddly baby and didn’t love being held all the time - we used her bouncer and playmat from newborn and she loved them both more than being held. At first it was just something new to look at, but a few months in she was grabbing and actively looking at and enjoying it I would say.

Birth. I left him on his playmat since birth.

We used the Lovevery playmat since birth (when he wasn't otherwise glued to me for BF). I'd get black and white things for them to focus their eyes on (it's all they can see at that age) in order for it to engage them in the early weeks and onwards. The floor is also the best (and safest) place for them to develop movement and motor skills.

We started using from newborn as we have one with lights in the canopy but they’ve only just started interacting with the toys on it at 4m

We used the love every mat from birth and then once he was rolling over and more active we got a cushioned mat from House of Noa and he’s used it every day since. He’s 8 months now and we have it in his play pen area as a soft place to play.

I attempted a few times but the first few months I couldn't lay her down without her crying wo didn't really start until 3+m

Immediately. I probably stopped when they started to crawl because they would never stay on it. But when I wasn’t holding them or wasn’t in a bouncer they were on the play mat doing tummy time or looking up at the stuff hanging down

They don’t need one. You can use just the ground or a blanket it’s just something for us they can lay on that’s not just ground. Ours also had some fun things they can look and play with

I recently bought a Totter & Tumble playmat/rug and I love it. Looks like a rug, soft like a playmat and it wipes clean. I just pop him on the floor with his toys and let him wiggle around.
