Blood tests

Been feeling extremely tired and sick so the doctor said they would book me in for some bloods to see if low on iron etc, they’ve called me today to say my liver doesn’t look great and asking for all my symptoms and said I need more tests, they’ve absolutely terrified me, has anyone else had this before when testing through pregnancy but everything been ok?

I haven’t had it during pregnancy but I had a blood test last year that said I was having liver issues. 4 months of blood tests for everything literally under the sun. Some coming back high or rejected and then bloods had to be taken again because of this. It came back to my liver had “Settled” and was back to normal and it could have been that I wasn’t very well when I had the first blood test done. Did they explain what didnt look good or not even bother to elaborate? I know it’s difficult but I wouldn’t worry too much until/if you really need to. It could come back as something simple that’s needs doing or completely fine. My thought always is at least they’ve pick up on it x

We may not be the same. But my liver got picked up way before pregnancy on another routine blood test. I have a higher liver count than what’s classed as ‘normal’. They would do tests every year to check is stayed the same. When I was pregnant with my first they sent me to see a consultant to confirm it was normal, and again they could only put it down to me just falling out of the average rate and being higher but it’s normal for me.

Also to say even with high results but classed as normal I was never put into a high risk pregnancy. Everything was normal. I haven’t had any comments on it this time around yet.

What? Will that do blood tests for your liver or scan your liver? Did you drink plenty of alcohol before your pregnancy or have a family genetic history with your liver? How out of range is your liver enzymes? Sorry this is happening to you?

@Michelle it’s picked up on blood tests. I had an ultrasound of the liver and again everything was normal. It doesn’t mean you drank alcohol.

No, I know it doesn’t mean you drunk alcohol. I am trying to rule out possibilities.
