Can someone get a life insurance policy on you, with you knowing?

My sil put all of her family on a life insurance plan. And that included the 5 folks in my household.
@Kathryn Nope. It wasn't through my employer because at that time, I wasn't receiving any type of benefits from my job back then. I wasn't in any relationships at that time either. This is really strange.
@Heather I don't think it was anyone in my family because they would've told me. I've had talks with my brother about getting one for my mom but we all knew about it and we were all in agreement with it so there was no secrets.

@Heather Yes, I called the insurance company that's listed on the report and there's no active policies at the moment, thank God .But it's still reporting that there was on back in 2019 so I'm still confused....I guess I'll figure it out
This seems strange. I assume it’s not a ‘death in service’ cover provided by your employer? Do you have a partner who might have taken out a policy?
