Toddler has bad breath

Any ideas? I’ve noticed over the past week my 17 month olds breath has been a bit stinky, especially in the night. For reference I’m a dental nurse so I don’t think it’s an oral hygiene issue! I brush her teeth twice a day. I thought maybe tonsils? But no signs of being unwell at the moment.

Does she sleep with her mouth open? When my little one has a blocked nose she breathes through her mouth and when I resettle her at night I can smell her breath 😅

My girl had this and it was tonsillitis. Most tonsillitis is viral so could be part of a cold xx

I think it’s quite normal while teething and still having milk. My little boy is the same and my daughter was aswell. As soon as I brush my boys teeth it goes. But yes worse after being asleep (my boy dribbles in his sleep and sleeps with his mouth open). Everyone I know with young kids have experienced it aswell x

Our little one had bad breath when teething molars. It's meant to be quite common. Is this possible?
