Help! Baby boy not accepting bottles

Hi-ya, I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying your little ones. I am EBF and as you can imagine I need an hour off time to time so on few occasions I pumped and we tried to feed him with bottle but he doesn’t accept them. I’ve tried MAM and Tommee Tippee but I don’t want to keep buying bottles that I’ll not use. Anyone had the same issue?

Yes it didn't matter what bottle we used. It wasn't until I went back to work that he started taking a bottle. The first couple days were hard for my husband by day 3 he was taking the bottle. I've since quit my job to stay home he's back to being picky with the bottle but will take it if he's pretty hungry.

Check the flow of the bottle teet as that caught us out! My 8 month old won’t take a bottle so we’ve been using a sippy cup, the Tommy tippy one has a fast flow or you can get breakers to help them learn how to drink properly from a cup! I’m EBF too but currently going through a nursing strike and teething! 🤪

We gave up on bottle nipples a while ago. I EBF so it didnt matter, but I had a Dr appointment coming up where we wanted something that dad could sooth him if needed. He was old enough to try the sippy cup “nipple” and it has been working for us. Also zero nipple confusion! (Dr Browns bottles, has sippy “nipple” and silicone handles to add to their bottles.)
