I moved to the uk in 2020 from the Netherlands all by myself and had to start over completely. Before i moved i made sure to have a job available for me so i could start straight away. It took a few months to get all sorted but was definitely worth it!
Yes moved from Texas to California for a guy (I had secured a new job and we’d signed a lease together) but when I landed off the plane he quite literally ghosted me. Had to scramble to find a place to live (San Francisco is EXPENSIVE so ended up in a converted living room with 2 random girls). Was a complete mess for maybe a year, cried myself to sleep every single night. Made some friends over time. Luckily the silver lining came and I moved from teaching into tech making a lot more money, and I met my now husband like 2.5 ish years after moving there.
Takes me under a year . This year I'm starting from scratch again♻️ . (House sorta, as I've recently moved. Trying to build a home now)

Yep, it took me about 10 months to get a job, place, and a car in a new state where I had no family. It was very hard because my son was 3 at the time. Now I have my own everything, and I am so grateful 🙏
