Should I drop a bottle?

I’ve recently seen a post that lots of other babies are having 3-4 bottles per day….Why is my child having 3 meals a day and big meals (today for example breakfast = porridge, lunch vegetable curry and yoghurt and dinner chicken roast dinner and rice pudding) and still having 5 bottles 😂 at 5am she had 6oz, 9:45am 6oz, 2:30pm 3oz, 6:45pm 7oz and then will have another around 10-10:30pm! I plan to drop her 10pm feed slowly by offering less milk but feel she still needs it at the moment as she always has a minimum of 5oz at this feed. Looking for advice on how to drop to 4 bottles a day and then will look to drop the “dream feed” around 10 months ish. Should I extend the period between bottles and only offer 2 bigger bottles during the day? For example one in the morning and one around 2-3ish? And what if she wakes early (which she is doing atm due to regression I think as she usually sleeps through until 7-7:30am) She’s usually wants around 14 - 15oz before her bedtime bottle. Thanks! She’s nearly 8.5 months for reference. Any advice on how to drop a bottle?

I just found by following her cues we naturally stretched out the bottles. I tend to do: Wake up, bottle, breakfast, nap, bottle, lunch, nap, bottle, dinner, bottle, bed. So she's still on 4. But we can easily drop to 3 e.g. we missed the bottle after her last nap and brought dinner forward instead today. But milk is still meant to be their main nutrition so I wouldn't worry too much. If she's drinking it she probably feels she needs it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I doubt she needed the 2:30 if she only drank 3oz.. it could be more out of habit that she’s drinking so much. What time is she going to bed if you’re feeding her at 10:30/11? Is that a dream feed?

@Elena yeah that’s a dream feed. It was recommended by a sleep coach and is fantastic but now she’s eating way more food I’m going to start slowly reducing how much I’m offering her for the dream feed by an oz every few days. But I won’t do that for another month or so yet. She goes to bed between 7-7:30pm depending on when her last nap finished. But yeah I agree I feel like she didn’t need that bottle as it wasn’t a lot so I’m thinking I might space out her bottles more but offer more per bottle and see how it goes! Was just looking really for advice / what other mums are doing as health visitor said she should have around 20 - 24oz on average a day of milk, we’ll she’s had 28 today 😂
