Toddler hates baths all of a sudden

Our 1y/o has always loved baths, to the point he would have a tantrum when he had to get out. We started him at daycare about a month ago and since then he will not bathe- he will have a meltdown if we put him in it, or even start crying if we go in the bathroom. We can't even wet his hair. We have tried getting in with him, changing the level of water, toys, bubbles and showering with him. Has anyone had the same issue and how did you get past it 😓

My little boy is like this! I’m so confused as to why too. It’s been since we went on holiday 🤷🏼‍♀️ now it’s just a case of get the job done and get him out he’s fine as long as idon’t wet his head but that inevitable when I need to wash his hair.

@Liv it's definitely a case of get the job done! We have given up on even trying to wash his hair because his response is to lower his head forward and he hits the side of the bath 😞 we are at such a loss!!

My baby started his tantrum at 13months different one but still tantrum when i took something away from him or not. He would just fake cry roll on the floor. I think its just a phase, you just need to be persisted and don't show to much emotion, he is learning how to get attention.

We have gone through this phase twice. Once around 13 months and again now at 19 months. 13 month phase lasted only about 2 weeks then suddenly done. We are on week three of the current phase. No advice really, just sharing you aren’t alone. Hopefully it passes quickly
