Are you pace feeding? My little boy was sick a lot and it always seemed so much but it really wasn’t. Plenty of breaks and 10/15 mins up right after a feed. Xx
I’m guessing your baby isn’t very old? It’s normal for them to drop 10% body weight in the first week and get back to birth weight at about 3 weeks. Just latch your baby as often as possible as this will help with your milk supply. Also just 5ml of regurgitated milk can look like a lot but it’s normal at this stage for babies to be a little sick, especially after a bottle if they guzzle it down (google pace feeding if you aren’t already familiar with the technique). It sounds like you’re doing everything right but perhaps it would be worth speaking with a lactation consultant just to put your mind at ease that your baby is getting enough milk.
I’m formula feeding after low supply and we are day 17 and he definitely went through a stage of not doing a poo as regularly (48 hours) I was really worried and spoke with the midwife and health visitor and both reassured me is normal as they start to use their muscles etc. The being sick part.. we also get this on occasion usually when he has guzzled down too quickly so try and do the pace feeding as best possible and keep taking breaks in between to burp and rest. We started on cow and gate but moved to Mamia (Aldi) which found slightly better for us… Generally I don’t put him down flat until he is fully asleep and feel confident he won’t be sick.
I think cow and gate still use palm oil which can be hard on their tummy, maybe try aptamil or kendamil?
