Combi feeding
Hi, does anyone do combi feeding and have any issues with baby taking breast milk due to having formula? I have mastitis at the moment so my milk supply is quite low for what my baby needs so may need to combi feed for a while but worried she won’t then take the breast milk. I exclusively express and feed her through bottles.

@Anita fab thank you so much! Can I ask how many bottles you have of each roughly, was it more breast milk than formula etc ?
Yes slightly more breast than formula as I would put her on boob and then express from other and give it, then top up with formula. She was only having 55ml total per feed at the time so I was giving about 20-30ml of formula depending on how much I was able to express, which was only about 20-30mls each feed. This was while I was trying to build supply x

I combi fed from day 1 till 7.5 months and it was all completely fine!

I had to give my baby formula for 4 days and she had no issue going back to exclusive breast milk after. I supplemented with formula so she was still having breast milk but being topped up with formula during those 4 days.
