Was your baby vaccinated against chicken pox?

You don’t really get vaccinated for chickenpox it’s just something you get in childhood, some mothers to so far to do “pox parties” so their children can play with others who have it so they get it in childhood too

No, it's only really recommended if the child in close contact with someone who is immunocompromised i.e. receiving chemotherapy or similar otherwise it's not a very important vaccine as the illness usually isn't severe and most children recover normally and then develop immunity anyway. You can pay to get it privately if you like but I think most people don't bother

I was briefly considering it and then my LG got the chickenpox anyway 😅 it’s looking to be added to the NHS vaccination schedule in the next couple of years, but right now it was a lot of money to pay to get it done privately and actually it wasn’t even that bad, I’m glad we’ve had it over and done with. And we did have a pox party with a friend who wanted her LG to get it in a controlled manner!
