Purée led weaning

For those that started on purées what kinds of textures and finger foods are you up to now? Pictures of how much you are still mashing or blending food (if at all) would be great xx

Need this too!

I still blend some things but to a more mashed consistency. I’m adding things like pasta and rice to dishes too to help with lumps and offering thicker foods. Finger foods - toast, fruit, veg. Sometimes she eats it, sometimes she doesn’t. Just keep moving your baby up through the textures and go at your babies pace.

I’m still mainly doing purées to be honest, but the 7+ month ones that are slightly more textured. My girl does like tomato pasta when I make it for her. She loves avocado on toast, but does not like the texture of a spear of avocado on its own. I’ve given her just butter on toast, too. Some steak, today I gave her half a bell pepper but that was new to her so she wasn’t too keen just yet. I gave her a stick of cooked swede yesterday for lunch, she didn’t mind that too much. I’m still learning to not be so anxious with baby led weaning, but it’s an incredibly slow process. For now, I’ll continue with textured purées but I’ll still add a variety of normal foods with it x
