Mother's Day

Hey, just wondering what to do about grandmas on Mother's Day. Is a card enough? What do you guys do? I can't really afford presents tbh but I'm worried about not doing enough.

My mom died a long time ago but we usually just go to lunch with the in-laws and my husband & FIL are in charge of getting both my MIL and me a little something! TBH though I do usually end up getting the card for my MIL and write it from all of us including the kids

If my partner wants to do anything for his mum and step mum, that's up to him. But for my mum, I'll probably just get a card with some nice photos printed out and put inside to update her photo frames - I get them printed for free on the FreePrints app; you only pay for postage on there and you get 45 free pics a month.

@Allie @Jodie thanks guys x

Homemade gifts are good. Im getting my Mum some small sentimental gifts that cost less than £2. A mum and daughter key ring from me and a Granny tea towel from my daughter. Will also make a homemade card from my daughter to her 😊

Thankyou @Serena x

I don’t have to worry about Mother’s Day myself but for special gifts (bonus it is free) I find a print of baby’s hand/foot a priceless / thoughtful gift, feet are much easier than babies hands to get a print of. I recently took a print of my daughter’s foot while she was in the highchair and she didn’t know anything about it only took a second. You can google it for inspiration easy to turn them into a flower / heart etc with a felt-tip pen. I use a child friendly washable paint and a paint brush to apply.

In all honesty, I don't even do cards. We both buy cards/gifts for our mums, my husband buys for me but I don't think it's necessary to buy for them as grandmothers
