Taking 10-14 month old on a cruise

One of my best friends is getting married March of ‘26. I am torn if I bring our then to be 14 month old with us, or leave him with my parents. It is 4 days and have a 2.5 hour flight to Miami as well. What were some travel items that you could not have done without and tips to make it easier?
