Flight Benefit Families

Hi! I am ISO some mom friends who are either flight crew or married to flight crews and have flight benefits. I would love to connect to other families who are interested in traveling and flying nonrev! We can meetup in another city for the day, plan trips abroad with or without our spouses, or just connect and share tips (or flight loads)!

🙋🏻‍♀️I’m with AA.. who are you with?!

My husbands a pilot for republic based out of Newark nj. Harder to non rev these days I think. Well I’m mostly going to Orlando and they’re always packed. Where are some good locations for non rev flights?! Looking forward to meeting some other pilot fam!

YX ppl find it harder bc you are essentially at the bottom of the barrel. The airline’s direct staff are top of the list & contracted staff are bottom. Plus the aircraft’s, in which YX does have priority, are super small. So that’s probably why you’ve been feeling flights full.

@Holly I would say try TPA.. but idk if 75’s go to TPA.. they may have more flights to MCO. Your best bet are destinations that 75’s fly to.

Yes Liz!!! I hate that it goes by seniority. I wish it went by when you booked. I’ve gotten lucky a few times. We’ve gotten lucky to London and Hawaii. Paid the discount rate from Paris. So all still good!

@Liz I’m with SWA! We live in Denver!

@Kimberly I love WN!! Ever since I started working for AA I haven’t flown WN.

@Holly I usually try my best to be flexible. The first flight of the mornings (those gut wrenching 6am departures) have the highest chance as people often miss them! So I usually try the earliest flight available or adjust based on what the loads look like the day before. I have also jumped out a day early last minute if needed when the loads look better those days.

@Kimberly yes that’s our usual go to the night before if those loads look better!

Do you ladies ever notice if the United site though is accurate? Sometimes it will say -1 and I’ll get on or I’ll pay then and see empty seats. I don’t trust it anymore I just try.

@Holly I’ve honestly never flown anything other than AA since I’ve started with them. I do know there is an FB group for Flight loads. They’re really good about answering in real time, just in case you are at the airport waiting for a flight type of situation.

@Holly are you saying like the app when you check the standby tab on the flight status? I’m not 100% sure. I usually log into my friends account and just look up the loads 😅

@Liz I think there is also an app Or website called staff traveler!

@Kimberly yep! For traveling suggestions and discounts? I do get their emails quite regularly

@Kimberly the united employee login website. It seems to never be accurate with loads.

@Liz I’ve never used it, but I’ve heard good things!

@Holly that’s so frustrating. I wonder if the standard app on flight status screen is more accurate for day of information.
