Buses I found easy, but bear in mind that if there’s already several prams on board you might have to wait for the next one. Trains were harder - don’t be shy about asking for help on and off the train, I found it really tricky with the gap at my local station without help.

I’ll be doing a train for the first time on Thursday, so can’t advise on that yet.. but I found buses easy. As the comment above mentioned, beware that there is limited space for prams, etc. I found going at less busy times would help - so I would usually go for a later bus, to avoid people commuting to work. Getting on/off the bus is easy - and I have a big pram. I did find it awkward where people would often sit in the area for prams/wheelchairs so I would have to ask them to move which is rather frustrating.. but just remember that space is for YOU, so people that don’t need it should move x

I would say this depends on your location a lot too. If your buses have a back door, use that to get on and off. Trains vary so much depending on location but where I am there’s signs on the outside of the train carriages with a photo of a pram/suitcase/bicycle so you know that’s where there’s more room for you. When getting off the train get off backwards would be my best tip, I’ve seen lots of people trying to get the pram off first and it’s so much harder. You step off first then pull pram down to you backwards xx

Trains are easy enough. I did used to go to the disabled bit and sit there. Some stations have lifts as well. Only issue with a bus is if there are other buggy’s.

Thank you ladies!!! We made it on our journey today. Bit stressful trying to get the pram down steps at the station but people jumped in to help. Loved the advice for getting off backwards, saved me from embarrassment of struggling xx
