Help! Surprise party for my husband with a twist!

I am planning a surprise birthday party for my husband but it’s actually going to be our wedding we never had. We got married in 2019 and our actual wedding was supposed to be 2020 but COVID cancelled it. We really never felt we missed out of an actual wedding because we had a awesome elopement BUT I want to surprise him and I want to wear my wedding dress too. 🥹 I need help because it is happening in Sept/ Oct but I don’t know anyone where I live so I have to plan now. Plus I’m getting a venue. I envision us walking in the venue together for the initial surprise and I want him to immediately realize it’s a surprise party for him and popup wedding for us. But not sure when to incorporate my wedding dress? Outfit change?? Should I have him meet me there and I greet him at the top of the stairs? I need decor ideas (simple, sexy, elegant, little to no balloons). Our friends/family are flying in. Venue, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, party bus, lounge. I don’t want signs that says “marry me” or “happy birthday”. I’m hoping to come up with better ideas since we’ve been married for 6 years this year. Last name Jenkins or just a cute saying about a vow renewal

Something could say ‘I do - part 2’? I think if you have white flowers, candles etc it’ll give off wedding vibes. How exciting! Are you 100% sure he’ll like it? Only as I’m sure some people might be overwhelmed by this but obviously you know your husband. If he’ll love it, then sounds like a fun idea. I think you could do the initial surprise then have a private room where you two can take a moment and he has chance to process that he’s about to do a renewal. Then you go off and get dressed and then continue like you would for a regular ceremony

Omgsh, first you are the best ever!! I love LOVE. I am flowing with ideas for you! I know I don't know you, but please keep me posted. What about doing the wedding reveal and dress after he enjoys the party for a bit, so let him get over the initial shock of a surprise party, let him enjoy that for an hour or so, mingle with his friends and family and then midway once that excitement of the surprise party has settled in you you hit him with the surprise wedding. You should have someone say something sweet /like a speech about how you guys never had this chance and then announce the wedding surprise and they tell him to look at the doors and present you in your wedding dress! You should someone redo your vows and everything - like a 5 mins renewal speech. Keep me posted!

@Sorrel so true about the flowers because that’s what I don’t want it to look like. I like the I do part 2! But girl my husband loves and appreciates anything I do. I don’t need his permission or check with him - he will love it! We good good

@Jules yesssss!!! Girl great idea! I’m going to see the venue space today and your idea seems so perfect actually because we can keep the curtains closed to the back outdoor area and then a reveal ahhhhhh!! Yes, I will! It’s in Sept/Oct lol

@Britt❤️ Seriously, keep me posted! I feel so invested! I will definitely go through this journey with you!

@Britt❤️ Girl, don't leave us hanging! How was the venue viewing??
