Going for Round 2 of IVF
Hi Mommas! My husband and I were blessed in July last year with a beautiful and healthy baby girl after 1 round of IVF. We had only 1 embryo.
I have some anxieties about if, but my husband and I have decided to meet with our fertility doctor to see if we are good candidates to go through another round of IVF in hopes of conceiving baby # 2.
I’m 42 now, so I’m crossing my fingers that any required testing will yield good results and we can forge ahead.
Has anyone here 40+ gone through multiple rounds of IVF and had luck more than once?
Read It starts with the egg - cannot recommend it enough. You basically take supplements for 6-8 weeks. I done 2 IVF rounds - 1st one started at 40 (almost to the day) didn't test but had 4 embryos and from that had fail, miscarriage, didn't survive thaw and then fail again. Went for another round after reading the book (and taking supplements for 8 wks) and tested - got 4 PGTA normal embryos and now have a 2yr old, almost 5 months old and 2 on ice. The doctor told me for my age they expected maybe 1 normal per round and that was considered a great result!
