Gender reveal
So I’ve just been told off someone that the nhs won’t provide babies gender in an envelope so it a surprise for the parents at a gender reveal. Does anyone know how true this is for the RVI? As the person who told me was at a different hospital and has said I would have to go private if i wanted to do it so the gender is put in an envelope so we don’t see.

the RVI wrote mine down on a piece of paper, i think must just depend on sonographer
They did it for me so I think it does just depend - hopefully you catch the right person 💖
I don’t think I’m going to risk it, might just go and get the private scan incase I can’t get it on my 20 week scan

I went to the RVI for my 20 week scan (baby was born in September) and overheard someone at the reception asking about this - reception staff said they wouldn’t write it down but maybe it depends on the sonographer? I’d call the reception there though to double check what the actual policy is :)
