My daughter is a bit younger, nearly 2.5Y. I’ve been planning my days out to help keep things going and my daughter entertained. For example 10am, help mummy tidy up/ pack dishwasher (she loves helping with this 😅) 11am snack time 11:30am activity 12:30pm nursery rhymes / dancing For activities, I have been planning a theme a week. Eg last week was numbers, this week shapes. I look for ideas on Pinterest and set up the activity for her. We aim to do 2 x planned activities a day to break things up. If I leave her to free play all day, it all gets a bit overwhelming because she gets bored. When I breastfeed, I usually read a book and cuddle her too which she loves I plan the whole day out for her and baby slots in at the moment because he is so young 😅, it doesn’t always go 100% to plan but it’s helped a lot. Egs below of two activities we’ve done this week so far
Another one we have done this morning that went well, we got some of the black and white baby development cards, which doubled up great with 3yr old practicing words
My 3yr old is obsessed with playdoh and magnetic tiles atm and will play with them independently whilst breastfeeding. Or together we’ll read a book, play with a Velcro activity pack, or have a cuddle and watch a movie, if we sit at the table we can play more board game type games like hungry hippo
