With my last pregnancy (he was born in Dec of 23) I was high risk(as I am now too) and I had one at least every month, towards the end of the pregnancy I was going for one around every 2 weeks or so.

Unless there's a medical reason your dr probably won't do more. But you can go to elective places . I had more with my first because I was considered high risk. I've had 1 ultrasound I'm 8 weeks and will not have another till 20 weeks

My doctor only did 3-4 my whole pregnancy. I chose to go to an elective place a few times for peace of mind

I am a newbie mommy as well 💜 I just had my first ultrasound yesterday found out I was 7 weeks (instead of 8) and the next diagnostic ultrasound wasn’t going to be until 20 weeks. I asked for an earlier scan at 13 because that seemed really far out. The only caveat is that it’s cash pay for the ultrasound. I’m not sure if insurance will do upon request scans.

A normal ( not high risk) pregnancy will receive about 3 ultrasounds throughout the pregnancy on average. You can also go to an elective ultrasound clinic.

My doctor gave me my first ultrasound on my 8 weeks visit and then said they will be every 4 weeks afterwards!

With my daughter is 2023, they did an ultrasound ever 4-5 weeks. At 8 months it went to every 2 weeks and at 9 months it went to every week. You can also get elective ones done outside of your doctor's office. I had 2 3D ultrasounds done at a photography place.
