Ours is confirmed rather than potential so I’m not allowed to start the dairy ladder with her till 8 months and that’s only if she can tolerate it through my breast milk by then (which she still currently can’t 😭). I’ve used unsweetened almond milk to make a couple of things (like little berry muffins) and the JusRoll puff pastry is dairy free so can make lots of different types of pinwheels with that. Otherwise just focusing on fruit, veg, grains, and the other allergens. So today she had peanut butter toast, I have some melon to give her later, and there’s half an Ella’s pea/broccoli pouch in the fridge that I’ll heat back up for ‘dinner’
The doctor told us to focus on the more plant-based foods but tbh we’ve stuck to Ella’s pouches so far as we’ve only just started in the last few weeks. They do some good options that are dairy free (coconut yoghurt etc). I think I’d be tempted to use coconut milk if I was making from scratch and not wanting to use the formula 🙂
I think I’m going to use oat milk, my little one was on Neocate which is coconut based and she ended up having really bad eczema on that, but I’d have used coconut milk if she didn’t react to that x
