We are flying from Heathrow too so really useful to know they have a soft play!

Make sure to have snacks for your baby ;) Very good when they are impatient
I was going to write exactly the same post. I have two 11 hour flights coming up. One being a night flight 🫣 The only thing getting my through is thinking I’m never going to see the people on the plane again if she cries the whole time 😂
Haha this was exactly what I was saying to my mum earlier…if all else fails we won’t see them again! Good luck!!!
Get the best seats you can afford, especially if they are on your lap. You will want the extra space. baby will mainly want to explore walk / crawl lots of walking up the aisle. We did try the bassinet but baby was too big. We took so many toys but most only entertain for 5 mins each. Best toy we found was this hedgehog toy with holes in it that you put in keys. Plus a soft headband with headphones so we could do some screen time. Check if your airport has a soft play - Heathrow does. Lots of snacks for you & baby, plus snacks while abroad. We did their bedtime routine as normal & put them in their PJ’s and sleeping bag. We gave some calpol before the flight in case their ears hurt. Best advice just remember it doesn’t last forever, once you land you’re forget about it and enjoy your holiday. When they cry no one else really cares as they either have their headphones on or are enjoying a few drinks - Enjoy!
