milk in the night

does anyone still give their one year old milk in the night? my baby is one and he wakes up in the night, and cries and will continue crying unless i i give him milk. he drink 8 oz like hes super hungry pretty fast then goes straight back to sleep. hes not the best eater during the day. should i let him drink milk at night or no? if not, how do i go about cutting him off. im just ready for him to sleep through the night again he used to from like 6-8 months of age then like 9-12 months he wakes up.

My little guy is breastfed but still drinks milk multiple times in the night ! If he’s asking I would still give him it cuz I wouldn’t let my baby cry but everyone is different !! He could be having another growth spurt and it might not last too much longer ☺️ Do what is best for you both !!

My son was doing the same thing, he was on a kick where he’d wake up and not go back to sleep until we gave him an additional bottle. It’s not every night though. He had his bedtime bottle and he usually sleeps through the night without needing another! My son has slept through the night since 2 months; and the last couple of weeks (turned 1 on 2/21) he’s been waking up numerous times crying and needing more milk. Maybe a growth spurt!!

@Savannah this is so true !!! im going to keep giving it to him cause i really dont think its for comfort because he goes right back to sleep no problem

@Kendra thats what im thinking if so hes been going through a growth spurt for 3 months 😂😂 every night at 12 he eats and INSTANTLY goes back to sleep

We still nurse a few times through out the night. All 5 of my kids have at this age. By 2 is when I would expect it to be cut out.

I still nurse a few times through the night 😊 😃

They’re always changing although mine has always and still breastfeeds throughout the night. There would be no way to calm her down if I didn’t feed her throughout the night.
