How much formula is your baby having and how frequent?

Mine is 4 weeks tomorrow and he has 4oz or very close to every few hours I fear I over feed him (even tho I only feed when shown hunger cues or he scream cry’s which usually means he’s hungry) I assumed he wouldn’t feed if he wasn’t hungry, apparently this isn’t always the case as they also feed for comfort. I worry I over feed him as he often spits up and/or is sick after feed. I’ve tried different positions ect and sometimes he doesn’t but 9/10 he does.

You’re not overfeeding him.

We’re a bit older than your babe is, 3 months on March 9th. He’s taking 7 ounces every 3-4 hours & sleeping through the night without waking for a feed!

Same here. Although my baby is 2months now. Try giving him like 3.5 oz. That worked for my baby! Now he screams if he gets less than 4 but ot did help to give him a bit less!

@Skye how often is he having bottles?

My baby is almost 6 months and has 6 x 6oz bottles now. But when he was really little he had absolutely loads of milk, basically the same as he has now for a couple of weeks and had a HUGE growth spurt. He went from 40th centile, to 75th centile, then it all evened out and he went back to 40th. I really worried but he wouldn't settle without the milk and when he didn't need it anymore he stopped drinking it, and then I worried he was hungry instead 😂 I was always told that at this age you can't overfeed them

@Amy thanks that’s reassuring to know! He’s had one of them days today and just wanted to feed and be held (and scream his head off😂) but if he shows me he’s hungry I’ll feed
