No nappy/ or pants for a few days. If you go straight into pants they tend to associate them with nappies and see in them the same. Go bare for a couple days in the house (there will be accidents) then introduce ‘big boy pants’ - Also once the nappy is off, keep it off! lots of praise and spare clothes! My LO also used the potty like a ride on car, so we went straight to toilet! Was fully trained in a couple of days. Hope this helps.
@Lauren Thank you ❤️ We've been trying him on the potty for months, and he'd sit on it but as you say it's been more like a toy. Then we got a seat to go on top on the toilet, and he started to get more curious about coming in with us when we went. He loves sitting on it, getting the toilet paper, flushing etc. Then tonight he finally did a wee! Guess we're straight to the toilet too.
Forgot to say when I said no pants/nappies I also meant trousers!! So nothing on waist down! Worked great seem lots of people on here did the same :)
👏🏻👏🏻 My LO had a wee on the floor, then wandered around....AFTER his bath 🙈 Needless to say he was back in after that!
We had 3 wee accidents before success
We offered every 45 mins ish but also kept the potty in the room so our daughter had access to it for herself
